From Brooklyn to​ the Bay Area and even the island of Oahu, Huria's is a family-run, mobile woodfired catering vendor, pop-up TO-GO pizzeria & private event venue (no sit-down dining), based in Bodega Bay, CA.

They specialize in their own signature NY-inspired, brick oven pizza Napoletana fusion and Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern influenced cuisine. Husband and wife duo Chef Mohaimen and Adriana Huria, journeyed to Northern California in 2017 to begin their next chapter and to plant their culinary seed Huria's; with a vision to bring a unique traveling dining experience for special events, custom designed and built by scratch. In 2019, they opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant, but decided post-pandemic to focus their efforts on special event catering and a seasonal, pop-up pizzeria concept instead of indoor dining. With Mohaimen’s background in the culinary arts and Adriana’s in photography and hospitality, no detail is left behind as they aim to meld food, culture and design together in every turn while providing a warm and special experience for all.

THE JOURNEY

Launching their mobile woodfired catering business in 2018, Huria’s has kept busy and grown tremendously; catering many special events including weddings, private dining experiences, wine-club parties, and more. From Sonoma County to Mendocino, Marin & even Lake Tahoe, Huria’s has brought its vibe and cuisine on the road, time and time again!

Coming across a new opportunity to expand to a brick & mortar in 2019, Huria’s took out their toolkits & paint-brushes, and got to work on a new project. Determined to share their warm vision with the fisherman’s village they found themselves in of Bodega Bay, CA, albeit by chance, they finished their renovations and tested the waters just months before the onset of Covid-19. Chef Mohaimen and Adriana opened their doors in late November, hosting a soft opening in their newly self-designed restaurant space along the Sonoma Coast, and excitedly introduced their specialty cuisine as new restaurateurs.

Although enjoyably hosting and building memorable relationships with local customers and visitors alike — from indoor sit-down dining to a takeout-only operation through to the end of 2021 — they also gained new perspectives and interests for their business, amidst the ever-changing health crisis, that would lead them back to where they began for a more stable and fulfilling approach. Coming around full circle and putting a pause to the restaurant concept, Huria’s has returned to their specialty woodfired event catering full-time, in addition to offering takeout and hosting indoor private events.

“Our mission is to integrate original recipes with a live, woodfired experience, wherever we go: celebrating ancient cooking techniques as well as bringing forth fresh specialties from the Mediterranean to the Middle East. Sourcing from fresh and flavorful ingredients, our goal is to always share dishes that are not only beautiful on the outside, but that bring joy and warmth on the inside.
